Techniques...
Beautiful Buttons
|
Buttons are a
great addition to your pages and cards. They can be sewn on in no
time!! Choose a traditional style button with two or four holes and
place it over the cardstock in the right place. Without using thread,
use a needle to punch the holes for your button. A darning needle
works well because it will thread easily and is long enough to work
well with cardstock. Once the holes are punched, thread your needle
and sew on your button by threading it through the holes two to three
times. Finish it off and secure it. Adhesive tabs work well. If you
choose a button with a loop on the back rather than holes through the
button (this is common on shaped designs), it is easier to cut off
the loop with a craft knife, then adhere with tabs or scrapbook glue.
This way the button sits flat and secure rather than floating loosely
on your page. |
